“DON’T LOOK AT ME ⚆⚆” is an interactive installation that messes with your ability to make eye contact with it,  even though the piece itself declares, "Don't look at me."

Inspired by the principles of directing the audience’s eye flow, which were taught in the class “Integrated Video & Live Performance”.
In contrast to what we learned in class, this piece challenges viewers to avoid direct eye contact and instead be drawn in by the shifting patterns and movements.
“You can rotate me but don’t look at me, and don’t push me either”

Interaction Design

DON'T LOOK AT ME is a 18x18x6cm box that runs on a Raspberry Pi to simulate sand falling on an LED matrix display with an eye image in the middle. The simulation incorporates an obstacle bitmap in the middle of the eye matrix, which the sand cannot pass through.
